A graduate of Harvard Law School and a retired member of the New York State Bar Association, Larry brings more than 30 years of experience counseling clients on the launch and expansion of high-growth businesses, applying a broad understanding of law and business to support the needs of entrepreneurial businesses where speed to market is imperative.

Larry began his career at IBM Corporation, where he spent 16 years working in a variety of business and legal positions that reached nearly every corner of the vast enterprise.  While at IBM, Larry represented the company in the launch of new internet alliances, including joint ventures with the National Hockey League and PGA Tour, and in the licensing and deployment of real-time scoring and data systems for the Olympics and professional sports leagues.

After departing IBM, Larry served as the Vice President of Business Development for Dotcast, a startup company providing wireless broadband services backed by investors that included The Walt Disney Company, Tribune Ventures, GE Equity and Intel Capital.  In recent years, Larry has counseled clients on television production agreements, music licensing, corporate M&A, talent deals, and literary rights acquisition.  He has also negotiated game rights for professional soccer matches, stadium venue agreements, league sponsorship deals and agreements for the exploitation of professional sports broadcast rights.  Larry joined Craig Fry & Associates in 2013 and advises clients on matters affecting the development of commercial, residential and mixed-use projects in Los Angeles and other Southern California cities.  He regularly represents clients before City and County agencies in entitlement proceedings for land subdivisions, zone changes, height district changes, variances, conditional use permits, coastal development permits, affordable housing projects and compliance with State and local environmental laws. His professional services also include pre-development research and feasibility analyses, testifying in public hearings on land use and zoning matters, and government and community relations.

In 2017, Larry took on a new responsibility when he was asked to helm a new cannabis compliance practice at Craig Fry & Associates.  In this capacity, Larry leads a small team of professionals that advise both established and startup business who engaged in the cultivation, manufacturing, testing, distribution and retail sale of cannabis product on a wide range of matters, including local and state licensing, business structure, intellectual property, financial planning, and of course, regulatory compliance.  Larry’s deep understanding of cannabis laws and regulations is valued by his clients, as they also value his counsel on critical business decisions affecting the future of their businesses.

In his spare time, Larry serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Sarge’s Community Base, a Pasadena 501(c)(3) non-profit focused on helping at-risk youth and their families.
